Make A Christmas Wish for your Community at Catalina Club
This story discusses domestic and family violence.
For many families, Christmas is a time for joy, love and celebration, but it can be a time of hardship, vulnerability and anxiety for those experiencing domestic and family violence.
As some families prepare for their safe and relaxing festive celebration, others, particularly women, are making calls for help to organisations such as Southern Women’s Group. Almost 100 calls for support are received by Southern Women’s Group every day during Christmas. On the South Coast, calls for support from people facing abuse climb by 30% during this time.
This Christmas, Catalina Club is continuing to deliver its promise to support the local community and are calling on the generosity of Club members to raise funds for families in need.
Make A Wish for Your Community
The Catalina Club team encourages all members to directly support families most in need and Make A Wish at Catalina from November 28 to December 31, 2025.
By making a wish, you can donate a portion of your Catalina Rewards points to Southern Women’s Group. The team at Southern Women’s Group will convert all received funds into gift cards for struggling families to buy household essentials and vital items ahead of Christmas.
Donate your Rewards
To donate your Rewards, visit our Reception team between November 28 to December 31 and present your membership card. Our team can tell you how many points you have, and you can choose how many points you would like to donate.
If you do not wish to donate your points, you are welcome to donate using other payment methods. Non-members are also welcome to donate before December 31.*
Make A Wish
For every donation you make, you will receive a Wish Tag. On this tag, you can write your wishes for yourself, your family, your local community or the world. Your wish can be placed in the Wish Box at Reception, and this will be hung on the Catalina Wish Tree on the 9th hole of the golf course.
When you Make A Wish, you are directly supporting local families in crisis through Southern Women’s Group. For more than 40 years, Southern Women’s Group has been providing essential services to those affected by domestic and family violence. The group empowers women, protects children and addresses domestic violence in all its forms. Their mission is to provide both immediate support for those in crisis and long-term solutions to help individuals rebuild their lives.

For over 40 years, Southern Women’s Group has been inviting the community to stand up to gender-based violence and hosting events like the Colour Run to raise awareness for domestic and family violence.
From November 25 to December 10, Southern Women’s Group is asking the community to stand up against gender-based violence as part of the United Nation’s 16 Days of Activism. Catalina is proud to be a part of this global initiative that advocates for the elimination of gender-based violence.
Every point counts. Become a social or golfing member at Catalina Club today to start earning and donating your points.
