We’re serious about all sport – not just golf. In 2026, Catalina has provided more than $50,000 to local sports clubs and community groups through sponsorships alone, including $5,000 to local athletes taking their sport to the next level.

BATEMANS BAY
BOARS

The Batemans Bay Boars are the cornerstone of
community sport in our local region. This close-knit
community is bolstered by a love of rugby union,
connection and unity through teamwork. Following
years of tradition, the Boars continue to host
Catalina’s Australia Day crab races and
ANZAC Day Two-Up fundraising events.

SEAHAWKS JUNIORS

For their 50th year, the Seahawks have joined
Canberra’s premier league men and continue
to personify excellence in sport. With over
400 junior and senior members and 12 dedicated
teams, the Seahawks are guided by a vision
to provide leading sport opportunities to
South Coast athletes.

CRICKET CLUB

The close-knit cricket club of Batemans Bay
has helped countless juniors to excel and
represent their region, state and country.
With summer seasons open for those aged
from as young as eight, and opportunities for
seniors, this Club is immersed in the community
and regularly fundraises for charities that
are close to their heart.

NEXT GENERATION
TENNIS BATEMANS BAY

In 2026, Next Generation Tennis continues
to grow as a leading tennis club on the
South Coast. Run by Geordie and Richard,
Next Generation Tennis invite talented
players from across the state to Batemans Bay
for the annual ‘South Coast Open’, showcasing
not only local talent, but also our
beautiful south coast.

TIGERS

Our heartfelt love of league starts with the Bay Tigers.
For more than 40 years, the Bay Tigers have been
fostering growth and athlete pathways for Batemans
Bay’s best junior and senior players and continue
to maintain a strong connection with
indigenous community members.

EUROBODALLA FOOTBALL
ASSOCIATION

Since 1983, the Eurobodalla Football Association
has been taking local soccer to the next level.
Through intensive summer camps and weekly
training sessions, the coaches at EFA are driven
to helping junior athletes to participate on the
national stage and represent out region.

BROULEE SOCCER CLUB

Captain Oldrey Park is home to the Broulee
Stingrays who are celebrating their 40-year
anniversary in 2026. With almost 400 registered
players aged from five up to 65, the club has
steadily grown in size and spirit, and continues
to be a vital, vibrant part of the
Broulee community.

The proud home of community football in the
Eurobodalla region, the Batemans Bay Football Club
has gone from strength to strength as worldwide
popularity of the sport continues to grow,
and invites players as young as six to
play for their town.

Supporting our local athletes

The talent of our local athletes continues to inspire and drive us.

This year, Catalina Club and Catalina’s SKINS group have sponsored Jaylah Hancock-Cameron a total of $3,500 to undertake her campaign to reach the Commonwealth Games. Her grit and resilience continue to impress the community at Catalina.

In 2026, Catalina Club also supported 13-year-old Alexis Brennan, who will embark on a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete abroad with Wanderers Australia. Alexis continues to put her sport first and hopes to reach the A-league.

STRENGTHENING LOCAL ORGANISATIONS

In 2025-26, Catalina Club extended support to community groups,
organisations and event hosts to drive social, cultural and
economic opportunities to those in our region.

RIVER OF ART

Establishing a 125-kilometre trail of art throughout
Moruya and Batemans Bay each October,
the River of Art continues to showcase the
dynamic and provoking creativity of our region.
Following their successful 2025 festival,
the River of Art team received a prestigious
Excellence in the Arts award at the
Eurobodalla Business Awards.

CAREERSFEST

In 2025, Workplace Learning hosted the Batemans Bay
Careers Fest to provide educators, students and
industry professionals with a day of networking,
learning and career exploration.

BOWERBIRD ARTS TRAIL

An open-studio initiative driven by passion, the
Bowerbirds Art Trail saw 650 visitors purchase
more than $13,000 of art from local artist studios
located from the Bay to Broulee. The trail allows
for guided experiences, facilitating connection
and awareness between local artists and visitors.

LIFE SAVING CLUB

Catalina Club is proud to partner with Batemans
Bay Surf Life Saving Club in 2025-26. This historic
club has been integral to the safety and strength
of our community, and keeps every beachgoer
safe at Malua Bay and beyond.

EAST LYNNE
ENDURANCE RIDE

In July 2026, the South Coast Zone Endurance Riders
Incorporation will host the East Lynne Endurance Ride,
a multi-length race day that allows riders to
experience the beautiful Boyne State Forest north
of Batemans Bay.

LAZER RALLY
OF THE BAY

In 2025 and 2026, Catalina Club is proudly
an event partner of the Lazer Rally of the Bay,
which will see hundreds of rally enthusiasts
and drivers descend to the region for a
thrilling race in Batemans Bay.
