NEED OUR SUPPORT?

ClubGRANTS is one of Australia’s largest grant programs, providing more than $100 million in cash each year to a variety of worthy causes across NSW.

Catalina Club is proud to participate in the ClubGRANTS program, which allows us to support a range of important initiatives in the local community. Through ClubGRANTS, eligible clubs like Catalina Club are required to allocate a portion of their gaming machine profits to support projects and services in areas such as community welfare and social services, health, education, and more.

At Catalina Club, we take our role in the community seriously and are committed to giving back in meaningful ways. Through our participation in ClubGRANTS, we have been able to support a range of local organizations and initiatives, including community groups, sporting clubs, schools, and more. By contributing to these important causes, we are helping to make our community a better place for everyone.

If you’re interested in learning more about ClubGRANTS at Catalina Club or would like to apply for funding for a community project, please contact us. We would be happy to provide more information and assist in any way we can.

Care South Story

CareSouth supports and cares for people who are doing it tough. Whether it’s children having a hard time at home, people living with a disability, or families struggling to get by. Our Veterans Golfers were able to raise $2,000 from the Vets Community Welfare Day for CareSouth. Their donation, will go towards the children and young people CareSouth work with in the Bay to continue to support our local community.

Story about Sophie

Australian Junior Interstate Series
Catalina Club’s Sophie Eppelstun headed to Tasmania for a couple of weeks of Golf at the highest Junior level.
First off Sophie played at Tasmania GC in Hobart for the Australian Junior Championships. After an even Par 73 first round Sophie was situated 4th but could quite replicate this score over the coming days and with scores of 81, 76 & 77 eventually finished 20th for the event.

The second week in moved to Ulverston GC on the north coast of Tasmania for the Australian Junior Interstate Series. Sophie was not only named in the NSW Team, she was selected as the Ladies Captain for the week. Each team consisted of 10 players, 5 girls and 5 boys selected from across the entirety of each state. Sophie went through the entire series undefeated and rarely even challenged across the elite Under 18 competition matches. Ultimately the NSW team took home the Interstate Series trophy by half a single match across the 48 matches played between the teams.

The Longest Day

17 of our Members participated in the Longest Day, a Fundraiser for the Anti Cancer Council of Australia. We had a mixture of ages represented, starting at 12 and rounding out at 70 years old. Each of the 17 players completed all 72 holes in the one day and through their fundraising efforts raised in excess of $10,000 toward the Anti Cancer Council, allowing both research and awareness to continue. Catalina Club will run this event on a yearly basis so if anyone would like to get involved next year feel free to contact Rod in the Golf Shop and we can start planning for a bigger and better 2023 event.

At Catalina Club, we believe in giving back to our community and supporting those in need. That’s why we’re proud to announce that our “Catalina Club Friday Skins Golf Group” has donated $1,000 to Anglicare to help provide essential items for the homeless, including bedding, camping gear, non-perishable food, and personal hygiene products.

We encourage everyone to consider making a donation to Anglicare or another local charity to support those in need in our community. Every little bit helps make a difference! Together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of those who need it most.
